ShipOutfit supplies B-15 and B-0 mineral wool sandwich panels for ship accommodation: wall panels, lining panels and ceilings. They are made by Chinese factories whose panel models carry EU MED (wheelmark) certificates and class type approval, and every delivery ships with the manufacturer's certificates. Frequently asked questions
What is a B-15 panel?
A B-15 panel is a ship accommodation panel tested to the IMO FTP Code: it must stop smoke and flame for 30 minutes and keep the unexposed side's temperature rise within limits for at least 15 minutes. B-0 panels meet the 30-minute integrity test without the insulation requirement.
Do the panels come with MED and class certificates?
Yes. We only offer panel models that the manufacturer has certified. Each delivery ships with the manufacturer's certificate copy and, where applicable, the MED Declaration of Conformity. Certificate numbers are listed in our quotation so you can check them on the class society's website before ordering.
Can you supply a full cabin package?
Yes. Panels, ceilings, profiles and B-class or A-class doors can be quoted together from the same certified system, so the fire classes and interfaces match.
Who installs the panels?
We supply materials. Installation is done by the shipyard or its outfitting contractor; installation drawings and manuals from the manufacturer are included.
