Frequently asked questions
What does A-60 mean on a marine door?
An A-60 door is a steel door tested to the IMO FTP Code that stops smoke and flame for 60 minutes and limits the temperature rise on the unexposed side for 60 minutes. A-15 and A-0 doors have the same 60-minute integrity with 15 minutes and no insulation time respectively.
Do the doors carry the wheelmark?
Door models we offer for EU-flagged ships carry the MED wheelmark from the manufacturer, issued through a notified body. For other flags we supply doors with the class type approval the vessel needs.
Can you match doors to an existing panel system?
Yes. Send the panel make and thickness; we propose a door certified for that bulkhead type, or supply panels and doors together from one certified system.
What is the lead time?
It depends on the door type and quantity and is confirmed in the quotation. Standard sizes are faster than special openings.
